The Rockefellers are a guitar-driven pop/rock band based on Long Island, NY. Formed in the early 1990's the band has gone through several personnel changes with brothers Eric & Peter Crugnale forming the core of the band. The most successful incarnation of the band featured Eric on guitar, vocals and handling the bulk of the songwriting, Peter on bass and vocals, Gary Dawson on guitar and Dan Hurley on drums. It is with this basic line-up that the "Take Out" album was recorded. For all intents and purposes, The Rockefellers are essentially dead. Kids, careers, geography and personality conflicts have put the mighty "Rocks" into an deep and seemingly endless slumber. Peter and Gary, in search of a less complicated form of musical gratification have invested in some hair spray and vintage clothing and can occassionally be seen around the NY Metro Area performing in the Rockabilly revival of a revival band The Hornets. They're quite good if you get a chance to check them out. Eric has essentially taken a hiatus to pursue family and "responsible" career goals. His biggest gigs lately have consisted of blistering sets of children's songs at his kid's elementary school. No one really knows what happened to Dan, but we think he's down in Texas somewhere also pursuing the family/career gig. Anyway, Eric has tons of really great songs just waiting to be recorded and is just waiting for someone to say "Hey, you guys are really great, I want to hear more" and giving the Rockefellers a reason to awake from their deep sleep. Please sample the offerings presented here from the "Take Out" album. Thank You - Enjoy.
